Into The Wild

Into the Wild

A theatre play or a sports game; pre-game show or a prologue, they all have similar structure. Then, there are acts or quarters in a game. Shakespearean plays typically have five acts. Each act builds on the ones before it to advance the story. They can be as long or as short you want. Epilogue or a post game is next.

So now, lets take it even further; imagine a theater where you are the player or an actor, but the theater is in the wilderness. It’s all there; the sets, costumes, special effects, you name it. You are about to experience the best game of your life 🙂

Prologue/ The Entrance

As you arrive you are handed and Playbill/A Map to guide you through this theatrical experience.

Your senses are heightened; you just entered the wilderness. Immediately your eyes are caught up in the movements and intricacy of every element, and you can’t wait to see what awaits due to the intoxicating smell of wood and smoke. Your footsteps crackle as you approach the forest, every step taking you closer to the forest’s delights. You have just entered, “Into the Wild”.

Act 1: The Opening

Amidst the glow of the sun rays beaming through the trees and the sounds of animals roaming their territory, the feeling of being one with nature takes over. You taste what nature provides, exploring further more the abundance of  forest’s bounties.

Act 2. Anticipation

Walk further and you see mysterious forest installations.

You are greeted by crafted surprises, charcuterie and a cocktails for your pleasure. On the horizon you see flickers of fire being stoked, and your heart begins to beat in the anticipation.

Act 3: Post-hund feast

As you leave the forest and approach the open kitchen, the delicate mixture of birds chirping and firewood blazing fills the air; the smell of roasted vegetables and juicy meats takes over your body, and your eyes beseech you. Our play continues to unfold right in front of you. The only difference between this and Broadway show is your participation.

Act 4: The Climax

At this point you are completely separated from from the 21st century. You are somewhere else. This is where it all comes together. It feels like a post-hunt feast to eyes and all the senses. Delightful courses appear and each has hidden or intricate components. What’s next…

Act 5: Delightful treats

The night has fallen, and aromatic coffee beans have taken over. The motions of the coffee mill grinding paired with a warm dessert finalizes an experience unlike anything else. Digestif flows through your veins and you know you are in heaven.

Epilogue

The night doesn’t end here. Stroll down the hill to see an enormous pile of branches that had been gathered from around the grounds for a raging bonfire for people to tell stories and to continue this unforgettable experience.

Fall asleep in the amazing cabins with windows into the wild. The night is waiting for you to ponder on what you just have witnessed. Wake up to a dream or reality…
