Bohemian and Ethereal

It’s that time of year again, wedding season! The trees are vibrant in luscious green, flowers are blooming into lavish pinks and creamy ivory, and romance is blossoming into lifelong commitment. Spring time is the start of new beginnings. Whether it’s the birth of baby calves grazing on the farmland for the first time or a celebration between two people, there is something quite special happening in the Berkshires.

Imagine this: it’s the day of your dream bohemian wedding. You’re in the midst of getting your hair and makeup done by the talented Danielle Pierce. It’s an absolutely beautiful day in the Berkshire Mountains. Your eloquent handmade gowns designed by Betsy Wise Bridal flow in the soft breeze. Nerves tingle through your fingertips, as you anxiously await the moment when you marry the person of your dreams.

That last piece of jewelry, hand crafted and designed by Soasa Design, is put into place. You reach for your bouquet and take your first steps as a bride.

One of the best qualities of the Berkshires is its abundance of natural beauty, including that of locally grown products. Cricket Creek Farm in Williamstown, MA was the ideal location for our “not-so-cookie-cutter” wedding photo shoot. Stunning bouquets and flower crowns were prominent during this shoot, created masterfully by Daisy Stone Studio.

You can have a lovely wedding in a banquet hall down the street, or you can experience a once in a lifetime moment overlooking the ever gorgeous Mt. Greylock. We enjoyed a never-ending feast of delicious food provided by James Gop of Heirloom Fire. This bohemian, European take on your cocktail hour and dinner allows for an intimate gathering of your closest friends and family. It offers a new appreciation for locally sourced food. The menu is such a huge part of any social event, so why not embrace it.

Embracing your style is so crucial to enjoying life, and showcasing our unique style was key for this photoshoot.  The gorgeous rugs provided by Story Rugs, as well as the eye catching tableware provided by Classical Tents, truly captured the artistic and relaxing atmosphere.

There is a new appreciation among today’s bride’s for unorthodox styles and unique personal touches. There’s a beauty that comes along with mismatched designs and rustic accessories, providing pops of color that create a magical scene.

There’s no feeling quite like being center stage surrounded by the timeless elegance of the beautiful beams and natural light of a country barn. The photography by Elaina Mortali, embraced my visual concept to a T, highlighting every unique aspect of this shoot.

An eclectic setting wouldn’t be complete without the fun energy of DJ BFG. He added the same energy to the photo shoot that he brings to all of his events.
